Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, recently extended congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for becoming the most followed world leader on the social media platform ‘X’. Musk took to ‘X’ to express his admiration, stating, “Congratulations PM @NarendraModi on being the most followed world leader!” PM Modi’s achievement comes with a staggering 100 million followers on ‘X’, surpassing other global leaders such as US President Joe Biden (38.1 million), Dubai’s Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (11.2 million), and Pope Francis (18.5 million).

PM Modi’s follower count on ‘X’ eclipses that of prominent international figures like Taylor Swift (95.2 million), Lady Gaga (83.1 million), and Kim Kardashian (75.2 million). Even in comparison to leading athletes such as Virat Kohli (64.2 million), Neymar Jr (63.6 million), and LeBron James (52.9 million), PM Modi’s social media presence stands out. Among Indian politicians on the platform, PM Modi also leads significantly with a vast margin over others: Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi (26.4 million), Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal (27.5 million), Akhilesh Yadav of Samajwadi Party (19.9 million).

Over the past three years, PM Modi’s ‘X’ handle has seen a remarkable growth of approximately 30 million users, showcasing his increasing influence. Additionally, he commands a significant presence on YouTube with nearly 25 million subscribers and Instagram with over 91 million followers.
