WhatsApp releases a feature for pin messaging.

WhatsApp has introduced a new feature allowing users to pin chats in both one-on-one and group conversations. This enhancement enables users to highlight crucial messages within their chats, streamlining the process of locating important information. Users can pin messages in various formats, including text, polls, images, emoticons, and more—all of which are end-to-end encrypted.

To utilize this feature, users can simply long-press on a message and choose the ‘pin’ option from the context menu. Additionally, users can select the duration for which the message will be pinned—options include 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. The default duration is set at 7 days. In group chats, administrators have the authority to decide whether all members or only admins can pin messages.

This new functionality follows WhatsApp’s recent rollout of disappearing voice messages, allowing recipients to listen to the voice message just once. With these updates, WhatsApp continues to enhance its user experience by offering more control and customization within conversations.
